2 players / x1 standard deck of 52 cards (no jokers)

Path of Rivals is a unique take on a TCG battling game using only a standard 52 deck of cards. What is unique about Path of Rivals, other than only needing a standard deck of cards, is the addition of a dexterity mechanic to obtain cards. Path of Rivals is the first TCG-style game where players must physically collect the cards they will use to battle with.

To start the game, both players will start at opposite ends of a single path made up of creature cards. As the players move along the path they will be trying to catch creature cards until the two players meet along the path. Once players meet the epic battle begins. There are four different creature types that are assigned to each poker suit with type advantages. Battling in Path of Rivals uses a rock paper scissors style mechanic that allows for a fresh and streamlined take on traditional TCG gams.
